One More Sleep

Three very important things are happening tomorrow: one good, one bad and one indifferent.

Firstly, it’s opening night of the play that has consumed my life for the last two months. I will be banished to the foyer, where I will bite my nails and smile bravely while the cast and crew get on with entertaining the masses.

Secondly, it’s officially the last day of the 100-words-a-day challenge. Tomorrow will be the 41st day. I’m ambivalent about continuing on my own. With one hand. Maybe I’ll start reading my birthday presents.

Finally, it’s the start of the Beijing Olympics. Whoopee.

Even though I'm not allowed backstage any more, they insist that I watch every performance.

Including rehearsals, it means I've watched the bloody thing over 30 times.

Hospital is starting to sound like a good idea.

Firstly - Good luck for the opening of your play. Would have loved to have been there to see it. I would say 'break a leg' but Im afraid you would take it literally... so just good luck. I know it will go well.

Secondly - its OFFICIALLY the end but that definitely doesnt stop you from doing it. I must admit, I have enjoyed it. Will do it if I can.

I wish you would go back to gym and report on your progress with each piece of equipment. The story was building up nicely. And it was funny too.

Let us know how the play goes and post pictures of your achievements. I know a guy who used to do theatre when he was in CT but now he's moved to the UK. Maybe you know him - Bjorn. A lovely, queer little boy.

Ha ha. I actually think I do have to go back and give it another shot. Dont know how my old body could take it though. But its good to know that my pain was your comic relief :)
