Oh bugger!
It’s no use! Despite my best efforts, I can’t seem to summon up any enthusiasm for writing at the moment. Besides mulling over a few storylines that don’t seem to be coalescing into anything solid, my brain feels as impervious to excitement and/or motivation as a limp dick without the benefit of delusions of grandeur.
There’s a squeaky clean whiteboard where my imagination used to be and I’m at a complete loss to explain how and when that happened.
I would put it down to a dastardly, diabolical plot by aliens/the government/a third force to gradually turn my mind to mush, but I’m still managing to download data from external sources (OLM amongst them) and enjoy it with gusto. It’s just my output/outlet valve that seems to be stuck or something.
Hopefully this lassitude is temporary?! I'm really missing that spark of inspiration and the way that it lights me up from within.

See, all temporary. You have nothing to worry about. Besides, we will read anything you write... even your best drivel.

Poetry/haiku don't count as a "breakthrough" as they don't need a plot and a plot is the one thing that evades me right now. You do say the nicest things, Sems...and you can run like the wind!?
Lily
I'm sure it's temporary. I hope your characters burst back full of colour and flavour really soon.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've decided that if I can't seem to make a plot come together in my head, maybe the descriptive stuff will still work. Watch this space!

a) get some sleep then wake up and drink way too much coffee
b) put on some quirky clothes with a fun hat and take yourself out to lunch
c) do something fun. put on some old tunes and dance around the room for half and hour.
d) 'limp dick' has 'the benefit of delusions of grandeur' ?? your man must be seriously well hung. get laid TL. get laid. Always gets the creative juices flowing.
Lils
don't try and use big words to make yourself feel better:
coalescing
impervious
dastardly, diabolical
lassitude
Ja.
Kiff.
*ducks*

I could say something short and sweet in response, Dolla, but I won't ;-).
Temporary, Lily.
ANd don't even think about 'missing that spark'.
a) Don't worry about it for a few days, I think.
Or (b); do something positive and just start writing. Place two or three characters in a situation and see what happens.
I know you'll choose b, anyway. Just saying.

Temporary? Phew! That's a relief. Have been trying (b) for a couple of weeks with no success so perhaps (a) is in order, at least until the muse decides to come out of hiding. Thanks for the hand up.
