In Menongue we were the guests of General "Black Power", who is currently the governor of Cuando Cubango Province. We stayed at the "Palace" which is the official residence of the governor in Menongue. It is a beautiful old colonial mansion. We slept on the Verandah on stretchers. There is no water or electricity in the "Palace" and the toilets and drainage system was all blocked up. Southern Angola is in serious need of reconstruction!
