The Argus – The Far Side
The fangirls were on top form

Flutter was there. Or was it Tinkerbelle?

Nuff said.

Just for Ramon. A fat-bottomed girl.

Tats on teenagers are usually
a symbol of rebellion.
So this one really had me flummoxed…

And one for mort...

Look what I found for Arbie – a whole herd of Kitchen Cowboys

Had a Spur Burger for Dex.

Wiff chips.
All those shapely legs. Yum.

No pockets?

No problem.
I asked this chick why she was
wearing two pairs of cycle shorts.

“Actually,” she says, “I’m wearing a pair
of cycle shorts over a pair of leggings.”
“Why?”
“Because I don’t like the feeling of
chamois on my fanny.”
Things went downhill from there.

Dolce & Banana
What a lag. And did you make it all the way to the end? You must be incredibly fit.
Frankly
Ja, I wonder if it's a toy shop?
Oh ye of little faith. Tsk.
Dusty
If it is a toy shop, I reckon it sells some really interesting toys.
And damn but you're buff. I'm seriously impressed.
Chamois on the fanny?
It even rhymes. In a wierd, surreal way.
My brain hurts.
But for some reason I want a banana.
Dusty
Looks like a lot of fun....do you think with a bit of training I could join you next year?????I'll train really hard, I promise....

It is great fun if you enjoy crowds (35,000 riders). For your first Argus, you'll probably start at 10.30am, and finish at 3.30pm. The winner will finish an hour and a half before you start. You'll be sunburnt and have very strange tan lines on your arms, legs and face. Your bum will be numb, and sex will be impossible for about a week afterwards.
Still keen?
Dusty
Yes, I am....there are plenty of "seniors" who seem to manage it...but maybe I should do some races up here first to see how it goes...*this is me setting myself some goals, here...*
Nossie
The oldest competitor this year was 88. So I reckon you've still got a year or two to give it a go.
Why not do the 94.7 Cycle Challenge in JHB in November? Apparently it's much the same vibe - 27 000 cyclists in 2007.
Dusty
Do you advise joining a club? Or going it alone? training etc...
Nossie
There's a lot to learn about riding in groups, gearing techniques, bike setup and all that sort of thing. And then there's the whole wardrobe thing. Are you sure you're happy to be seen in public in lycra?
Dusty
There are a few advantages being the age I am....frankly, I don't give a shit.
Dusty.
Those girls in the first pic look pissed out of their heads.
Some of those pics are damn funny.
A good Saturday laugh!
Ramon
I took the photo at 11am. The pompom girls had been there since 6am. They had at least another two hours to go. I'd think I'd also looked pissed!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed them.
Dusty.
Those two on the left remind me of picking up two 'girls' in Turkey.
But that's a story for another day which I'd rather not tell...
And that fat girl. Phew! Naaaaaiiiice!
Ramon
Ja. The sad thing is that she probably beat me.
