"Courage"

This is a 3 metre high sculpture my artist has made and that is on it's way to Amsterdam. He had Purple Dot posing on stilts in the garden, well teetering about really, because he needed to get the motion. As you can see, the little girl on the stilts is stepping out of a comfort zone.
Purple Dot moved out today. She has moved in with my mother. Normally I would be rejoicing because it gives me a few days of peace. But this is not like that. She has asked to move out because of the squatter. I knew it was coming and have had PD in therapy with a really good psychologist to see if that will help her. She is just so overwhelmed though by this cuckoo.
I wept until snot ran out of my nose. Am beside myself actually. I love PD so much and I know that she would be in heaven if it was just me and her in the world. I also know that's not healthy. Yet, the squatter has pushed my own baby out of my nest.
Someone give me a manual please. I am drowning.

I read this earlier. KC I dunno. I don't understand.

I don't know how you are managing to live without PD. And unfortunately there's not manual. Christ when you need it the most it is then when you find there is nothing. If you can grab a slice of silence somewhere that is the only place where you can find some kind of direction. It is a huge fucken cliche and I am going to sound disgustingly close to Oprah, but silence enables you to access the best advice - what's truly right for you.
Ultimately though your PD's place is with you. In your nest. And if that means getting your squatter into other care, then so be it. You have done so much more than most Chasu. Perhaps it's time to let go regardless of the consequences.
franky
the squatter is being shipped of on March 12 to her father.
i will NOT tolerate my belobed PD being away from home.
over and out.
Flippen hell Chasu
I reckon that comes as a huge relief. Geez you've been through the freakin' mill. I reckon you'll be pleased when you have some peace in your home.
you have no idea
franks - no idea.
So Chasu
You lazy shit. I thought you were sulking with me because I wouldn't help you edit your story. Good to see we still hate each other guts and all that. By the way I need to tell you, that bluepete guy is a huge fucken wally. (Not that he has one, I believe it's the size of a baked bean and pretty rapid fire too.) I must also confess that I am pretty fucked off with that GaryM character too. I think we should ambush him and smack the shit out of him. Sort of like Charlies Angels but just the two of us.

The sculpture....ummm...I prefer the shadow it casts to the actual piece....don't tell Artist that, though....
KC
I agree with them noss/tl/dex. Maybe she is already starting to feel 'rejected' just by the mere fact that she asked to leave. She wants to be somewhere else. Good luck KC. It cant be easy but dont let the squatter upset your apple cart.
KC
Blood is thicker than water...I can't even imagine how hard this must be...but try to remember that.
KC
Dex has a point. Could be grounds for future resentment. You may be doing this with the best of intentions, but what if ten years on, all PD remembers is that you chose the cuckoo over her.
Chasoo
Maybe its time for the squatter to squat somewhere else, cold as that may sound. Be careful PD doesn't perceive this as a choice between her and the squatter - that could do real damage. Hang in there.
KC, please
email the PDF file to me.
Thanks.
The shadow on the wall gives it another dimension (I'm an old crit, I am ;)
KC
Chasoo, make sure this doesn't happen!!!
difficult times kachasu
had to read back a couple of posts to catch up on squatter but seem like a good move under the circumstances. how long before the squatter moves out?
The artist
i have a fabulous pdf thing of his career. he made me change the last pic. anyway - some very beautiful and highly unusual things in there. Nevermind the stuff we have at home. I am always heartbroken when some giant painting gets sold.
anyone wants it - k.chasu@gmail.com.

Poets on Stilts ~ James Laughlin (For onelongminute's poets)
Writing on stilts is in vogue
these days. The taller the stilts
the easier to be in fashion.
Very few poets now want to walk
with their feet on the ground,
they might get their shoes wet.
……………
…Altitude
makes the poet feel important
and it gets him into the club.
But a word of warning to
stiltwalkers. The higher they
fall from their stilts, the
bigger the smash when they
hit the pavement.
Um Darq
looks like you, on the stilts :)
No no no young man ...
I know you know exactly who I'm talking about ... all the high and mighty writers: those who offer their fascinating literary insights and advice, and praise those who kiss arse and break those who don't ... when they are nothing, nobody, nowhere ...
We should do as Emerson advised, and earn the appreciation of honest critics, and endure the betrayal of false friends ...
That's life.
