My Amazing Monday
If there is anyone who has had a better Monday than me, please tell me about it and make me feel better.....
I picked my car up on Friday from the panelbeaters (after almost 3 months of being without it). Stupid me for thinking that everything will be ok. My brake lights are not working, they didnt replace the part that they remove to tow it, there are scratches and dents all over my black car and they stuffed up my personalised plates (they had to replace it because it was damaged). I found all of this when I picked it up.
Driving it around on the weekend I found that my brakes are making a squeeky noise and there is some other funny sounds coming from the front right hand side of the car.
So I make plans to take it back in today.
However, my boss doesnt think that its a wonderful idea and gives me the third degree about wanted to take my car in. A car being one the pre-requisites for my job! Note I was going to put in for leave to do this and not just take some time off. She would rather I drive around with an unsafe car than take it in to get it sorted. So I decide fuck that, I will come to work and take a day off in the course of the week to sort out my car.
Driving up the parking garage looking for parking (we've got a 10 storey parking garage at work), some chick coming down the parkade, driving on the wrong side, drives right into me coming around the bend! She then says its my fault. I was right beside the pillar on my side going up and she was over the lines coming around the bend and she says its my fault!?!?!? Oh well....
Cant wait to see how the rest of the week pans out....

Well, I had a hoot!
Man. I had a great day.
I got up just in time for school, having forgotten that today was going to be the last day with my Matric class (do you remember those days waking up and dreading school, but realizing that it's actually weekend? Well, that's how I felt. Exactly like that, except that I still had to go to school and that it was a Monday).
Well chuffed, because I'd been teaching them for just over 3 years now. And enough is enough, you know? The old respect level has tipped a bit, for we are good friends you see?
They probably know me better than my children (which is scary).
Yeah, so, anyway, who won the Superbowl?

Ag, chicka...It really is shitty luck you're having but try to look at it this way....what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger....that doesn't help much, I know...try to be pragmatic...it's just a car. Nothing money can't fix. As long as you're ok.
