Purple Dot and the wheelchair

This is my beautiful, angelic looking Purple Dot. Alas, I am sad to report, she is a small demon. The pitter patter of cloven hooves ring through my house on a regular basis. Today we had a fairly typical incident.

You have read about the strange goings on in her bedroom, but tonight we ended up in casualty. Again. She was playing with the boys, some rough and tumble rugby effort at school, fell and hurt her ankle. I picked her up at five, she couldn't walk on it and it was swelling up like a blue watermelon. Time for casualty. Broken bones and torn ligaments. Myprodol administered. Then it's time for xrays. So they stick her in a wheel chair.

PD: "Stop pushing me. I want to drive."

Then she hurtles around like a demon. X rays done, now she knows the route back to the casualty ward. None of us could keep up.

Caste on, they give her crutches but she wants to drive the wheelchair to the front while i go and get the car. Groovy.

Then I have to take her to Doppio for dinner because she is starving. Painkillers are now fully kicked in so she eats like a horse and drifts around practicing with her crutches.

Now, over the years, PD has suffered a severe head injury from a swing. Broken two arms - one falling off a jungle gym and the other falling off a dining room table (don't ask). She has lost the pad of a finger in an incident with a door. Had hand, foot and mouth disease, covered her hands in super glue and electrocuted herself in a vacuuming incident.

As a small child she looked like she had horns sprouting from her head from bashing her pip into walls the whole time.

I love PD. She is very special.

I have to say though, that the emergency ward is starting to know who we are by sight.

Emergency room

My mom tells the story that at one stage she was convinced the nurses were going to report her for child abuse. My brother was a hellion always hurting himself.

Hello Kachasu

Angelic looking indeed. Quite possibly a changeling.
