There's movement

Well, this is a resurgence, albeit a mini-resurgence; maybe there's life in the old thing yet. But, hell, who am I to state the obvious? I'm Hippo, that's who; trying to convince myself that this is a more constructive use of the web than, say--- No, best I don't say. I'd rather talk about moths, anyway. But there aren't any around right now. So I can't give you an acurate dipiction.

Blam

Blam. It's the shot of the bullet traveling through the sound barrier. You know, the one from those slow motion action films. I'm not concerned with the slug ——> I'll just send that on, and concern myself with the rings. There are always rings in those shots, bigger further from the barrel, rippling the field, if you will. Lets say the slug missed its target, and buried itself harmlessly in the wall - hmmmm? Then we can end with a smile— Hahahaha.

I'm not usual, I mean

I'm not usual, I mean I'm not usually this way, but it was a day from hell and I wanted to flamethrow this ant. So I did. I did it with a match and an aerosol can. Does that make me a bad person? It was a can called Neutra-air. I got it out of the toilet and I can honestly say, adding a flame makes it neutral in no way. It works the same as other ant neutralises. NeutralisERS. Geddit? Whooooooooosh. It left a black mark on the wall. I don't know what happennnned... to the ant. There I said it. Happennnnned. Gnnnnggrrrgh!!!

Art Fair

Cool: Husband's work (90% of which was sold - yay!). Kentridge's Work. Some weird guy from french-speaking Africa with peculiar little doojabs that go on a wall (big teeth and funny names). Hodgins - always a winner for me. Mary Sibanda's work. The one picture is just incredible. A name I do not know or remember, but spectacular beaded molecules that mean something - science and art, i love it. I generally am quite scornful of bead work (tourist shite) but this was amazing. Lots of good work. Very funky bunch of op-art, which it is really good to see is undergoing a revival.

Time for change

Of the 983 000 students registered in grade 11 only 13 459 will graduate from a university in the next 5 years. Its a shocker!

Out there were the Husky's go.

It is true that there are few places more desirable to die in than Africa. Of late though I am sure you often catch yourself quietly wondering whether there are better places to live.
